Brooklyn Street Skate Spot

Brooklyn Street Skate Spot is a DIY skateboard park built and policed by the skateboarding community in SE Portland. All the way in the opposite corner of the country, Born Ugly Magazine offers a free t-shirt design for DIY skatepark builders. Download the C.R.E.T.E. shirt design, personalize it for your local chapter, print the shirts, and then sell them as a fundraiser. That’s just what happened here. If you get a chance, stop by Brooklyn Street Skate Spot (SE 16th and Brooklyn Street in Portland, Oregon) and check it out. Ask the neighbors about the positive impact it’s had on their neighborhood.
